Carlin Pierce

Carlin Pierce is a poet, an artist, and a theologian. Carlin was raised on and in Virginia soil, and holds a deep conviction in the power of roots. Taken by duality, she is equally fascinated by faith and fact, chaos and stillness, war and beauty. Carlin started publishing poetry in high school; her first collection in 2013. A graduate of Georgetown University, Carlin studied Arabic, French, and Theology. After four years in DC, Carlin commissioned as a second lieutenant into the US army, one of the first women in combat arms.  One of Carlin’s muses is her husband John Keally, a loving and supporting partner.  From the real to the believed in, Carlin’s primary focus is people, particularly their hearts, minds, and souls.
